Executive Director: Billy Young
Billy has over 25 years experience working in Behavioral Health with a primary focus in addictions. From 1996 - 2003 he was the Executive Director of Pine Grove Recovery Center in Hattiesburg, MS. From 2003 - 2005 he was CEO of the Keystone Center, a 118 bed chemical dependency treatment center in Philadelphia, PA. Billy received his undergraduate degree from Murray State University in Murray, KY in 1975 & a master's degree in counseling from the University of MS in 1992.
Medical Director: Murray Smith M.D.
Dr. Smith recently retired after serving for as Medical Director for the past eleven years and continues to be viable influence serving as a consultant to New Life Lodge.
Medical Director: Dr. Darrell Arnett
Dr. Darrell Arnett, Medical Director of New Life Lodge has over 20 years of healthcare experience with a primary focus on addiction medicine. Dr Arnett, a board certified internal medicine specialist, is also both ASAM and Buprenorphine certified. In addition to serving as Medical Director of New Life Lodge, Dr Arnett works closely with the Ranch, a nationally recognized extended care treatment facility as well as Cumberland Heights, one of the oldest and most respected treatment centers in the south. Since 2002, Dr Arnett has served as assistant Medical Director of the Center for Professional Excellence, a treatment facility in Nashville specializing in the treatment of impaired professionals. He remains very involved in the Tennessee Society of Addition Medicine as well as the Tennessee Recovering Physicians program.
